My general experience with my arcade machine has been very positive. I did receive it damaged in the top right corner around the marquee and that part only works about half the time now. Realistically I live on the other side of the United States from the the state this company is located in so I had a higher chance of having mine damaged on the way. However the company they use to ship the arcade machines is Estes or was at least when I ordered mine and all you have to do is look at how many one star reviews they have to know how bad they are. I even lucked out with a particularly stupid delivery driver who dropped my arcade machine off outside my apartment while I was at work and during a hurricane. Reading some of the reviews make him seem pretty standard for the company sadly. I was even told I was supposed to have to sign for it before receiving it but that didn't happen. Besides that though the arcade machine works almost perfect. A lot of the games aren't playable but the company does as much as it can to fix them. They even has a discord channel to post problems or make requests. The most limiting factor for the arcade machine is the small staff size the company has. It seems like a family owned company so I'm not sure how easy it would be to change employee count to accommodate for the increasing number of customers who own one or if they are willing to. I hope they can uphold the lifetime of customer support that is one of their selling points the size they are now. I have received quite a bit of assistance myself from them but it is also impossible to get ahold of customer service to get help much of the time. For the arcade machine itself they do a pretty nice job on it. The only systems that have had consistent running problems seem to be the Nintendo Ds and 3 Ds from my experience. The games can use the touch screen on them by moving the trackball that comes standard with the arcade machine and pressing the button that's labeled mouse button. That might make some of the games that require more consistent touch screen interactions more tedious or even impossible to play but I doubt anything can be done about that. As time goes on things will get smoother and updates are made so it's not something to worry about overall. The games themselves are easy to change out by using the ftp server. Some of them do require a bit more technical knowledge like 3 ds games that you have to unzip and ps 3 games that have to be extracted. I can't say anything about ps 4 or switch games as I own a physical switch and PS5 which plays ps 4 games and don't need them taking up memory space on the hard drive. I also purchased mine with the i5 processor since the i7 wasn't available then so I can't say how much of a difference it makes or if it's necessary for the PS4 or Nintendo Switch. If you purchase the arcade machine the controllers are a must buy with it. The joystick and buttons on the machine aren't compatible with anything that has a joystick on the controller like Nintendo 64, Dreamcast, or any PlayStation or Xbox game making them unplayable. The controllers do work pretty well and I haven't had any problems playing the games with them. They are even useable for other devices like PC and Nintendo switch. It does seem to negate the shortcuts on the arcade machine itself like pressing start and select to close games or select and y to create a savestate though. The spinners and wheel only work on mame games as far as I know but aren't that expensive if you are interested in those genre of games. You have to purchase the spinner to use wheel since they are interchangeable on the control panel. The hand gun light guns work well and are responsive. I do do find that the hand gun ones make an annoying clicking sound that might irritate certain people each time you pull the trigger and I don't think you can turn it off. The light gun games themselves seem designed for multiplayer with the number of enemies and attacks coming at you making avoiding damage seemingly impossible but are still playable solo because of the insert coin button. The game selection on the arcade machines and ftp server is pretty nice and varied and you will probably be able to find plenty that you interested in playing. I hope in the future they might add a tab in discord to request certain games being added since a lot of the ones I always wanted to try and favorites from my past aren't available but I am probably being too greedy. I'm sure American Gear Company already has their hands full as it is. Overall if you are planning or interested in buying an arcade machine you can't really go wrong with this one. There are a lot of others on the market but they all seem to offer much less and some of them are even more expensive. The affirm option makes it affordable as well so there isn't really any reason not to. You can even customize it with things like the light up led buttons I had added to mine. There is also an artist that will design art for the arcade machine to make it one of a kind or you can pick a previous commission from his catalog. I myself had a final fantasy themed one made with things like the monsters, jobs and summons the series is known for and even some of the mascots like moggles, carbuncle and chocobos for the control panel. I even included some pictures of it although its hard for me to get a good angle on them.

Overall the unit is great, but we have some issues with quality of unit, customer service, & shipping. I received my order a few weeks late, and it was missing the guns. The game unit was loose on the pallet. I removed from pallet and the unit did not power on. I opened the back and noticed the SSD was not fixed to the front of the unit. It got knocked around and looks to have hit a few wires. It pulled a few of the power wires out. I communicated my problems to Ryan/Reagan through phone and email 20+ days ago. Both very courteous and nice on the phone, but I’m still waiting on my order from 11/4/24 to be completed. Can someone at this company please just complete my order. Honestly, if my order was complete or had been completed in a timely manner I would give this review 5 stars.

Awesome product and wonderful customer service. Any issues were quickly and easily resolved. Shipping was well packed. It’s a very well made cabinet. Not particle board, made from cabinet grade lumber. It’s a little more difficult to operate if you’re not tech savvy. Buy not impossible. It’s a very good machine and they stand behind it. Lots of videos on their YouTube account to learn tips and tricks. 10/10 would recommend.

  2. Always a pleasurable experience. Fast and professional service!

  3. This is easily the best gift I could have gotten the family. It has over 10,000 games on it. It’s like living our collective childhood all over again. 100% worth the money and the customer service was excellent, Ryan got back to me literally within an hour on a friday night when we first booted it up to help with some setup questions. It does take them a while to make these things and there was a delay around christmas time but in the end, it was so worth it! Most gaming cabinets go for over $1500 online and only play a handful of games. I searched for a while trying to find one that had multiple games that my dad had played back when he was in college. Then I found American Gear Company and their custom cabinet. This blew my mind when it came in. This thing is worth more than a hundred standard gaming cabinets for only an extra grand. You can even set highscores and compete against your family and friends, guaranteeing that the system will be constantly occupied whenever people come over. Some games on newer systems do require you to plug your own controllers in like call of duty black ops etc., so if you want to play those you’ll need an adapter or something, but there are just so many games you probably won’t even care. Best Xmas gift ever!!
