Customer service and overall build was absolutely outstanding!!! My machine had minor issues from the delivery (Not The Company’s Fault). I got the order on a Friday and that’s when people get ready for the weekend and the time when the shop gets ready to close. I called the company and the owner took precious time out of his day to help me get my machine started. Who does this these days? The owner probably had a million things he could have done but made sure my machine was up and running. Once I got the machine up and running everything worked very well and configured to perfection. The components are truly authentic and built to last a long time. I’m not much of a tech person but the instructions you receive plus the YouTube channel helps with any concern you have. So basically if you want a retro authentic gaming experience with a machine built to last you will find that with this machine.

Love it. Our patients and their parents love it even more. It is SO FUN to see entire families gather around to play a game. Even better to see the parents into their game and letting their kids “pretend” to play next to them while they press the buttons. A few of the games lock up and freezes the system which means the entire arcade has to be completely shut down and restarted. American Gear was so awesome and created a YouTube tutorial on how to put our system in kid mode. I am hoping this helps avoid the games that freeze the system.
The custom graphics look awesome. There were places in the print that were scratched and cut too large on the buttons. We also would have put the sound controls and on/off switch on the back of the machine since we are using this for commercial use.
The machine has held up extremely well to the kids and all day use.

Machine came with the wrong artwork and my driving wheels were not included. Wheels I guess were on back order so my machine was shipped out as to not impact shipping date but nobody told me wheels would be coming. Only scratched the surface on trying some games out. Found games that will not load, game mappings not correct, games in the wrong slots, slot says one thing the actual game something different. Many games on the games list I was sent are not on the machine. All can be corrected but not thinking this machine was ready for prime time yet. Was considering purchasing another one for my other house but not at this time, maybe in the future when its more stable. Also no directions on how to operate the system, just figuring out how to back out of a game and back to the game menu was a bit of a struggle. Hardware used in the build is what sold me on the machine initially as most other machines use lesser quality components, big plus on this aspect. If all the game errors and missing games get corrected I would improve my rating and would purchase another machine at some point.

Thanks for the comments and the back-and-forth emails have been super helpful to help us dial in our latest software build. We did start from scratch on it to include more features, like a global leaderboard, wifi updates, pixelcade capabilities, better Bluetooth joypad support, settings backups (save games etc). With so many games we figured it was best to get the latest build into the customers hands knowing that we are constantly updating, and everyone will get those updates at no cost. Rest assured in the coming months all the games will be configured, thank you for being a patient contributor to the feedback required, its awesome customers like you that will make this the best machine on the planet. : ).

The quality on these is amazing. I looked around at about 10 different options across the country for months ahead of Christmas for a 4-player arcade unit, and finally went with these units from American Gear after talking with Ryan in email. They definitely had the best options and cost for how high quality it is, plus customer service and customization.
I was able to fully customize the art from some of their existing assets and additional ideal, and the final result and quality still exceeded my expectations.
When you receive it, you can do so much with it, and they push updates all the time. You can tell they really care.
After receiving it I mixed up the sound mapping and they very quickly responded to an email to help me get it fixed. Other companies probably would have ignored a random email about that since the sale was done. Amazing customer service.
I am beyond happy that I went with American gear.

Overall pleased. There were cosmetic concerns including coverings/plugs for pre-set holes on the control board. Would look a lot cleaner if those holes weren’t there. Also, molding was missing in some areas, maybe because they’re tight areas, but raw and exposed wood not necessarily a good look. I’m willing to put in some work on this, but this is truly a piece of furniture. It would be nice if it looked like it 100%.
The unit comes set-up for immediate play, which was very nice. Most games you can think of are here. However, you have to rely on the downloaaded copy that’s available. The usb ports are for controllers (it appears)- they don’t allow you to plug in mame games you may have from other sources.
The gamelist is pretty complete, including hard to find titles. There are a lot of games. However, all games may not play. To be fair, there are a lot of ‘copies’ to account for, but to take time to set up your favorites only to find the copy doesn’t work is a letdown.
There is going to be troubleshooting required- it’s nice there are some videos for common issues, but you have to actively call the team for questions, especially if you don’t have working knowledge of how cabinets work/are set up. An instruction manual would be really nice for the unit you have, as some videos appear outdated.
Last things- the team seems interested in getting it right, even if there was no wrong on their part. I didn’t like the color I originally chose for buttons- replacements were sent with no questions asked via priority mail. There are things that could be improved as noted above, but overall, this is a good product.

Thank you for your feedback! In regard to titles that don’t work, simply scan the qr code on the machine and fill out the form that pops up. This logs them in a database so we can fix them for updates that everyone has access to. Keep a lookout for updated videos as we are making them based on our most recent build. Again, much appreciated feedback, we strive to be the best and need to know where we fall short.
